Welcome to Mom's Old Fashion Burgers
Mom's Old Fashion Burgers sits on W Clinton Ave in Fresno and feels like a true local burger stop. I see a place built for plain good eating, with fresh grill work, low prices, and a menu that keeps regulars coming back. The setting fits lunch, dinner, and solo dining, and the casual room gives it a cosy, old-school feel that many diners look for in a neighborhood joint.
The food draws the most attention. Burgers come with a classic style that points to old fashioned taste, and the reviews mention fresh grill cooking, sliced tomatoes, pickles, and onions that taste neat and balanced. Fries, onion rings, fried mushrooms, chili cheese fries, shakes, ice cream, and banana split treats round out the visit. That mix gives the menu a diner feel with a fast food pace, yet the food still reads as made with care.
Price matters here. The $1–10 range makes this a strong stop for students, families, and anyone who wants a filling meal without a large check. The place also works for groups and tourists who want a local specialty and a no-fuss meal. Parking is easy, seating is accessible, and the dining room has a clean, simple setup that fits a quick break or a relaxed meal. Fresno burger fans tend to trade notes on this spot like a small club, and that says plenty.
Shakes get a lot of love, and dessert has a clear place on the menu. I notice that kind of detail often tells the real story. A burger place that keeps burgers, fries, and ice cream in the same conversation usually knows its crowd. Mom's Old Fashion Burgers earns a spot on the local list for that exact reason: it keeps things familiar, serves fast, and gives people a meal that feels rooted in the Central Valley.

The location serves a steady local crowd and fits the rhythm of a casual meal out. I find the appeal clear right away. It gives off a historic, cosy, and simple diner vibe that suits a classic burger run.
The spot works well for people who want quick food with room to sit down. Guests can choose outdoor seating, dine in, take away, or order delivery. The setup supports lunch and dinner, and the place also fits dessert stops after a meal. Wheelchair-accessible parking, entrance, seating, and toilet access make the visit easier for more diners.
The crowd leans toward groups, tourists, and university students, which matches the price and the menu style. Free parking helps, and payment options include cards and NFC mobile payments. Reservations are accepted, which can help on busy days. Friday evenings fill up fast, so a shorter wait can make a difference. For a local guide, that is the kind of detail that matters. A Fresno diner with a burger-and-shake heart often becomes part of a weekly routine, and this one fits that pattern with ease.

Busy times can bring a wait, and Friday evenings look packed. Some guests may want a faster pace when the room fills up. The menu is broad, which can feel like a lot for a first visit. Still, most feedback points to patience being part of the experience.

This place never disappoints. The burgers. Are old fashioned. If I want a real good burger. This is the place. We do not go to Carl's or McDonald's. Those places are overrated, & not good at all. Do if you want good old fashioned taste. Come to Mom's oh & do not forget the ice cream & shakes.

If you are looking for fire food at a great price this is the place for you. The hamburgers are made with love the tomatoes pickles and onion are sliced to perfection. The onion rings and fried mushrooms are a must try. Not to mention the huge portion of steak fries you receive in a combo. They also offer chili cheese fries that never disappoint. It is a family owned restraunt that is worth all the hype. I believe in supporting local businesses and this is definitely at the top of my list.

Definitely coming here again. I ordered the avocado bacon burger (sorry I didn't get a picture it looked good and before you know it it was gone) delicious steak fries. And the milk shake, so delicious! I've traveled the world and lived in the city of Chicago for 11+ years and I wish I had a burger joint like this there. I'm glad I'm back in the central valley. I live 1 hour away I will return fo another tasty experience, that's a fact! Thank you staff for being great!

10/10 1st time here. The wait time was about 40 mins with 6 orders ahead but well worth it. Cooked to perfection. Everything was excellent. Never going to another overpriced junk food chain again!!! I'll gladly drive there anyday. Also, best banana shakes in town. Period.
